GOP wont to turn the wheel of history backward, never work that way, not doable!
What GOP will do is a glitch in the system, the way they did with the Public Option, just a delay that is all...
GOP has a loosing hand in history, it is only a matter of when they will turn into oblivion, and the Tea Party, and the Libertarians also!
The two major party in the next decade will be The Democratic Republican and The Progressive Liberal...
